Abide is a Christian Worship Ministry and Band comprised of Jim Weaver (Lead Keys and Lead Vocal), Jaime Weaver (Jim’s wife and Lead Vocals), Josh Zook (Bass Guitar), David DeFillipo (Support Keys and Orchestration), and Nate Mason (Drums and Production).
Not only are the five members of Abide very compatible musicians with much technical and ministerial background, but they are also great friends! The culture of Abide is one of family, creativity, respect, and a passionate pursuit of Jesus through Spirit and Truth Worship.
Abide exists not only to put together a technically and musically pleasing concert. Their desire is to seek God together as a group and to partner with the local church to help usher in an encounter with the Holy Spirit for those who attend a worship event. Sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the paramount focus of every event. One thing is certain, when Abide takes the stage, the Gospel of Jesus will be proclaimed!

Jim Weaver is a Worship Pastor who leads a diverse team of around 45 individuals in his local church. He leads the technical, media, and musical expression of the Worship Ministry at Faith Tabernacle Assembly of God in Klamath Falls, a powerful, loving, and evangelistic congregation. He has served there for 11 years and has served in worship ministry for 17 years. Abide is an additional outlet of ministry for Jim as he desires to release the Gospel and the culture of worship he is privileged to lead in his local church. Abide provides the opportunity to move throughout the region holding conferences and worship events that edify the Church. Jim released his debut album “Nameless” in 2010. Abide plays many of Jim’s original songs. Jim and his wife, Jaime, have been married since 2003 and have ministered together throughout their marriage. They have three children: Lynnae 11, and twins Josh and Grace, 9.

Jaime Weaver is wife of Abide leader, Jim, and is a passionate worshiper, singer, and songwriter. Her musical experience and abilities are diverse and creative. Jaime has been leading worship alongside Jim since before their marriage and her support, musical excellence, and creativity make her an invaluable part of Abide. She is an administrative assistant at Faith Tabernacle and also leads the nursery ministry. Jaime’s songwriting is a vulnerable expression of love to God. She supported Jim’s album, “Nameless”, by providing a song called “My Passion” which the couple sings as a duet. Jaime is a fantastic mother, loves to cook and knit, and loves movies. She keeps the Weaver household going during busy times and provides a much needed balance to the demands of ministry and parenting.

Josh Zook is an accomplished musician, playing many instruments in addition to the bass guitar. He’s been involved in worship ministry for many years and has played in other Christian bands. He is passionate about quality stewardship of our lives in every area and his work ethic shows it! He works for a national brake and tire company. His electric personality and joy combined with a rich authenticity make him a pillar for Abide. He and wife Katrina have three boys, Joel (18), Luke (16), and Jaz (7).

David DeFillipo is Abide’s “Digital Dude”! David plays support keys, which is a simple way to say that he programs a lot of things through a computer system that nobody else understands and, in addition, plays keys! He is the Youth Pastor of Faith Tabernacle, so his time is spent with teenagers and raising up the leaders around him. He is also passionate about hunting which uses many of the free moments he might have. David is an accomplished graphic designer, photographer, and videographer and is gifted to tell heart-felt stories with various media resources that touch many lives. He loves his family, and is one of the favorite uncles to his many nieces and nephews.

Nate Mason is Abide’s drummer. He and Abide’s leader, Jim, have been great friends since they were both in high school where they ministered together in music and with a band named “Internal Fire”. Nate’s passion for everything musical started at an early age where he taught himself drums. Since then, he has learned many other instruments, and the art of producing, recording, and mixing recorded music. Nate produced Jim’s debut album, “Nameless”, through his recording business, Tool Shed Recording Studio (www.natemasonmusic.com). He is the producer of Abide’s sound and arrangements. Nate crafts his own drums and really enjoys continually improving the sound and quality of his studio. Nate and his wife Danette have a beautiful daughter named Naia.
